Hello,
I meet a problem when I try to close a 32 bits image generates under ImageJ. I meet the same problem when I try to close Imagej if a 32 bits image is still open. The following dialog box appears "Save changes to ...." but clicking on the buttom (Yes No Cancel) has no effect except closing the dialog box. I meet this problem with different versions of ImageJ (1.43o6 and 1.42q). I never encountered this problem with Windows OS versions. Congratulations to all members of the ImageJ community for their works ! Best, Philippe |

Hi,
I have the same problem at my home computer: java version "1.6.0_16" Ubuntu 9.10 (always making the last updates) (the only way to close ImageJ has been kill the java process fron the System Monitor But the same problem doesn't happen in my work computer (the same versions). I'm still looking for a difference in the systems so I can identify the problem. Any tips? Hash: SHA1 This is a known bug in ubuntu that concerns java. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/452938 You should be able to push the button using "space" when it has the focus, as a workaround, Volker Philippe GENDRE wrote: > Hi Michael, > > Sorry. Hello Philippe,
I'm also under 32bits version of ImageJ (1.43n, I'm late) with ubuntu 9.10. I had the same problem when I use the ubuntu repository version of the JDK. If you hit "java -version" in a terminal, you'll have : java version "1.6.0_0" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.6.1) (6b16-1.6.1-3ubuntu1) OpenJDK Server VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode) For my config, the Volker workaround does not fix the problem :-( But it works perfectly with the ImageJ built-in JRE ! My "ImageJ/jre/bin/java -version" gives : java version "1.6.0_05" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13) Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode) And I can close without saving … Le 14/01/2010 21:12, Philippe GENDRE a écrit : > Hello, > > I meet a problem when I try to close a 32 bits image generates under ImageJ. > I meet the same problem when I try to close Imagej if a 32 bits image is > still open. > > The following dialog box appears "Save changes to ...." but clicking on the > buttom (Yes No Cancel) has no effect except closing the dialog box. > > I meet this problem with different versions of ImageJ (1.43o6 and 1.42q). > > I never encountered this problem with Windows OS versions. > > Congratulations to all members of the ImageJ community for their works ! > > Best, > > Philippe > > -- Christophe CHAMOT Responsable Technique PLATIM IFR128 BioSciences Lyon-Gerland 04.72.72.87.62 www.ifr128.prd.fr/PLATIM |
This sounds similar to problems we've had under OpenJDK. Their
implementation of awt isn't exactly the same as Sun's. Another example was using the JFreeChart library and passing Double.infinity to something that eventually calls awt Rectangle(). Works under OJDK but not Sun. We've decided to just not use OpenJDK. We run Suse 11 but I image you can use the "alternatives" command to set which java to use, Sun's is probably there too. Sorry to reply only now.
My initial java version is the same than Christophe : java version "1.6.0_0" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.6.1) (6b16-1.6.1-3ubuntu1) OpenJDK Server VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode, sharing) (the same mentionned by Christophe) If I change the jre using the jre bundled with ImageJ my java version becomes : java version "1.6.0_10" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_10-b33) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 11.0-b15, mixed mode, sharing) And it works perfectly. Thanks to everybody. Philippe 2010/1/15 Colin Poczatek <[hidden email]> > This sounds similar to problems we've had under OpenJDK. Their > implementation of awt isn't exactly the same as Sun's.
