re: NucMed Projector TP crash

imagejston
Dear all:

I am using the 3DProject and the NucMed Projector TP plugins to create coronal Average Intensity Projections at oblique angles through an axial CT series. I am currently having two problems:

1. 3DProject.

I start with my axial CT data (loaded with Bio-formats importer), call Make Isotropic, Reslice to coronal, then use 3DProject with the Average Intensity option. I get a nice stack of AIPs that give different projections around the patient at set angles.

However, there are vertical and horizontal bars/lines in the output images. This is mentioned on the NucMed Projector TP help page, and there doesn't seem to be a work around other than to not use 3D Project.

Has anyone encountered this problem, and if so, is there a way to pre-process the images to avoid it?

2. Projector TP: The plugin faithfully works on its first run, but then stops functioning afterwards, throwing this error after the first slice of the output stack is generated:

(Fiji Is Just) ImageJ 1.48a; Java 1.6.0_51 [64-bit]; Mac OS X 10.8.4; 491MB of 5983MB (8%)

When this error is generated, I am not doing anything new/different - I am trying to repeat the same operation on the same input stack. I have to restart Fiji to be able to use this plugin again, and then the same thing happens. With this plugin, there are vertical/horizontal bars in the output but not quite as much as with 3DProject.

I love these two plugins as they are exactly what I need but the vertical/horizontal bars and crashing are obviously a problem for me!

Any help and/or insight at all into these two problems would be so appreciated! Thank you!

My set up:

Fiji 1.48a
MacOSx Mountain Lion
