reading microPET data

Olivier Salvado
Hello,

I wonder if somebody knows how to read data from a
Concord Microsystem PET scanner. Files are in
proprietary ".img" format.

Thanks in advance.

Olivier

I believe that there is also a corresponding ascii .hdr file.  It
should be fairly easy to make a reader based on the  Analyze 7.5
reader.  I know that Amide includes a reader, so you could get a
start from that code (http://amide.sourceforge.net).

Perhaps a coincidence, but the Nuclear Med. Interfile format uses an ASCII .hdr header and .img data file format. Tony Parker has written a reader Plugin available thru the ImageJ Plugin page.

Pedro Ramos
The files composed by a .img and a .hdr file are usually files in Analyze
format (very common). The Analyze reader and Analyze writer plugins are
available in the ImageJ plugins website.

A combination of a .hdr and a .img file from a PET scanner suggests the
(Nuclear Medicine) Interfile standard.

See http://www.keston.com/Interfile/interfile.htm for details
