Depending on the type of camera you are using, perhaps a color standard (e.g. Macbeth chart) should be included in each picture.

Subject: red value (RGB) measurement with imagej
Hi,
I would like to measure -for a clinical scar study- the mean R-value (from RGB color space) of a selected area (the scar) to compare the redness before and after treatment.
Steps should include: selecting the area (scar) with a lasso etc., the mean R-value of this selected area should be shown in numeric values.
How does it work with imageJ? Do you think the RGB color space is correct for this application or better changing to Lab?
Thank you and best regards,
Justin Wagner
