selecting/coloring all pixels of one value

David Marshburn
a collegue recalls seeing someone highlight all pixels of a given value in
a greyscale image with some specified color.  he does not remember how to
do this.  does this functionality ring a bell for anyone, please?  is
there a name or ImageJ function to do this, please?

thanks,

Re: selecting/coloring all pixels of one value: use a LUT

Harry Parker
The answer to your question is: Use a LUT (a.k.a. LookUp Table).
1) Start with a LUT that performs a 1 to 1 mapping (i.e. value equals index) and change the one address you want to color to a contrasting color.
2) Apply LUT to image.

That is all.
