thread and macro

Dear all,
 
I would like to run a macro in separate Thread. I've looked through the ImageJ website...I cannot fond out how to do this. I guess, by writing a plugin that would run my macro using class macroRunner ?
I also need to pass some argument arguments, and this is where I-m getting completely lost.... how to pass arguments to a macro with a plugin.. Or is it another to use a separate thread for a macro having some arguments?
