tracking waves

srai
I am looking at calcium waves. Do you think I could use some kind of tracking algorithm for such waves? I have come across some object tracking algorithms but am not sure is they will work as these waves are ever changing.

Any links to any potential methods are all welcome.
Thanks

Hi,
Waves are more likely to be dealt with using some segmentation IN-dependent method such as
Optical Flow Analysis.
Take a look at Biomedical Imaging in Java http://webscreen.ophth.uiowa.edu/bij/
I haven't tested it myself, but it appears to do what you seem to want to measure.
Cheers,
Chaitanya
