Copying from macro recorder

Till Bretschneider-2
Hello,

I am not able to copy text from the macro recorder. Using command-C or Edit->Copy tries to copy content from the current image. The workaround is to use the Create button and copy lines from the Macro editor, however this is not really convenient.
I remember that a while ago copying used to work as expected, but cannot say which version this was. It might have to do with the java runtime environment. Anyone else experiencing the same problem? Below are details of my installation.

Cheers,

Till

Mac OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite)

Fiji, ImageJ 1.50d

Oracle Java
java version "1.8.0_66"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_66-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.66-b17, mixed mode)

I have the same problem (at least since OSX 10.9, and probably earlier.
I am now at 10.11.1) ,
and use the same workaround.
However, I can add that copying from the macro recorder works if I have
done no other copy/paste operations in that Fiji session.

This bug, which occurs on systems running OS X and Java 8, should be fixed in the latest ImageJ daily build (1.50e37).

Dear Wayne,

This is amazing, thank you very much. I am running an ImageJ practical with 20 students this afternoon and they will certainly appreciate it greatly.

Best wishes,
Till
