We have images taken on a colour camera of bacterial cells stained simulataneously with two fluorophores, a red and a green. The bacteria appear as either red, green, orange, or something between the three. What I would like to do is to get a measure of the mean RGB for each ROI (bacteria), either as a whole, but preferably as a breakdown, i.e. R = x, G = y, B = z. This data would then be further processed.
It should be possible to extract/determine the mean RGB data as RGB histograms can be formed, but this would be far to time consuming to need to do this for each ROI.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
