FW: BioImage Analysis Session at MMC conference 2nd July

Krs5
Dear List members,

I am asked to advertise the BioImage Analysis Session on the MMC conference in Manchester. The deadline for abstracts is 25th of Feb, this Wednesday.
Kees
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am co-organizing a  BioImage Analysis Session on the afternoon of 2nd July as part of the MMC conference. I am keen to have people present work they are doing especially with ImageJ as well as other image processing solutions..
closing date for abstracts is 25th February, Midnight,

http://www.mmc2015.org.uk/conference/session-descriptions/
BioImage Analysis Session

Digital images are increasingly presenting the end user with a major challenge in terms of quantifying, analysing and curating what are often vast data sets. Data sets in biology and medicine of terabyte+ are often condensed into a simple graph. From conventional microscopy to high content/high throughput clinical imaging require analysis of the vast data sets generated. In addition, data fusion from different modalities is giving us greater understanding of what was only a short time ago a two dimensional image.
However as such methods move from research to real-world applications it also becomes increasingly important to understand the robustness and accuracy of these approaches to enable meaningful data mining. This session will explore novel approaches that take bio imaging analysis into tangible applications.

We have invited as the main speaker Dr Rafael Edgardo Carazo Salas

Dear Kees
Thanks alot for your invitation.

My Question is it possible to add a basic and advanced workshop for
ImageJ???

As you know the mmc2015 Conference is a very good opportunity to meet all
collegues.

Dear Hesham,

There will be a pre-Congress Workshop 'Using ImageJ/Fiji for microscope image processing and analysis' on Monday afternoon 29 June; http://www.mmc2015.org.uk/conference/pre-congress-workshops/. This will be a basic workshop.

Best wishes

Very informative post! I am so glad that you shared it here. You know friends last year I also got the invitation to attend this conference but I had to attend the best new year eve party nyc with my kids as I had promised them. So I cancelled my program for this conference.
