Hello,
My questions is about controlling camera (webcam or CCD) by Image J and also using the camera features like exposure control, gain, off-set etc. 1.Initially, I started with a driverless webcam (Optia AF) and TWAIN plugin (http://rsbweb.nih.gov/ij/plugins/twain.html). I am able to acquire the images from this cam directly from Image J (by TWAIN 6 plugin). However, the capture window has only image capture option. Is it possible to control the exposure time for this cam using Image J? 2.My second question is about controlling (or calling) the camera software by using Image J. For example, the given link shows that the CCD camera software can be called from Image J and the acquired images can be transferred back to Image J. Also the CCD software has the option to control exposure time, gain etc. (http://www.phase-hl.com/pdf/Programm-Gel- FO.pdf). I am looking for any plugin which can be used to link the CCD camera software and ImageJ. Currently I am using a MEADE CCD camera (DSI pro II) and its Autostar Suite software due to its cost-effectiveness. However, I am open to switch to any other cheaper alternatives, as far as I can call the camera software by using Image J. I would highly appreciate for any comments or suggestions. Hi F,
you need to look at micromanager for imageJ http://www.micro-manager.org/ Dan On Jan 28, 2010, at 6:00 AM, IMAGEJ automatic digest system wrote: > Date: Wed, 27 Jan 2010 14:59:09 -0500 > From: Farhan Ahmad <[hidden email]> > Subject: Image Acquisition by Image J > > Hello, > > My questions is about controlling camera (webcam or CCD) by Image J > and=20= > > also using the camera features like exposure control, gain, off-set > etc. > > 1.Initially, I started with a driverless webcam (Optia AF) and TWAIN > plug= > in=20 > (http://rsbweb.nih.gov/ij/plugins/twain.html).
