The problem of current line selection is too many dragging cause too much
force leads to finger hurts if the work increases. My idea of line selection is simply click two point, one for the start position and one for the end. Also, I would like to implement the current line selection which allows choose the length of the line selection just as the way modify the width of the line selection. Thanks. Hi Bin, If you use the Segmented Line mode (right-click on the line tool to select), you can use a single click to start and a double-click to end the line — no dragging required. If you haven’t already done so, you could search the archives of this list or imagej.net<http://imagej.net> to see if someone else has written a macro or tool to add the function you need. For example, Wayne Rasband wrote a macro to draw freehand lines of a specific length<http://imagej.1557.x6.nabble.com/how-to-stop-the-freehand-lines-tool-at-a-set-distance-20-um-td3690197.html>. Check “Enhanced line tool” in the Edit>Options>Misc dialog box and you will be able to create straight line selections by clicking twice, once at the start of the line and again at the end. -wayne -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |
Dear Theresa, Rasband,
Thank you all for the help. The “Enhanced line tool” does exactly what I want. And also thank to a macro <http://imagej.1557.x6.nabble.com/Straight-line-with-preset-length-macro-td5014526.html>written by Michael Schmid-3 and Wayne Rasband. With this fixed length tool <http://imagej.1557.x6.nabble.com/Straight-line-with-preset-length-macro-td5014526.html>, I can now able to make fixed length from a single point.
