Hi all,
I'm running FIJI on Mac OS X 10.6 and i have recently re-installed FIJI from the website (http://fiji.sc/wiki/index.php/Downloads) on 2 workstations. Fiji no longer downloads as a dmg but a zip this is perhaps irrelevant but i have lost the blue FIJI icon from my installations. Now all i see is a default apple Application icon "A" and when fiji is open i see a java icon. Fiji actually runs fine so i'm not too concerned, just wondered if this is a problem with our mac os x installations (i've ran the software updates to get the latest java release for OS X 10.6) or if something has changed in fiji to cause this. Fiji no longer downloads as a dmg but a zip Yes, we recently switched to continuous releases, i.e. packages that reflect the current state as per the Fiji Updater. We have not yet re-instated .dmg packages, but that will come soon, thanks to our trusty Jenkins server. Stay tuned! > this is perhaps irrelevant but i have lost the blue FIJI icon from my > installations. Now all i see is a default apple Application icon "A" > and when fiji is open i see a java icon. I will try to find some time this week to investigate and fix the icon issue. Ciao, Johannes -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |

In case you wonder: Jenkins is our trusty server which keeps track of all components uploaded to the update site, amongst other things. It then makes these nice up-to-date packages I call "continuous releases", and now Jenkins' MacOSX node also provides the .dmg! The taskbar icon should also be back to normal :-) Ciao, Johannes -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |

Hi list and Johannes,
I now experience the same Lost Fiji icon "problem" (as for Matt before it is not really a problem, since Fiji itself runs fine) for Windows 7 x64. I had to re-install Fiji on that machine and now the nice icon is gone, replaced by a rather nasty Windows substitute. (The icon-image is still there in the images folder, but it looks like the icon can't access it) :-( Cheerful christmas greetings, Silke On Nov 7, 2012, at 1:29 AM, Johannes Schindelin wrote: > Hi Matt, > > On Mon, 29 Oct 2012, Matthew Pearson wrote: > >> I'm running FIJI on Mac OS X 10.6 and i have recently re-installed FIJI from >> the website (http://fiji.sc/wiki/index.php/Downloads) on 2 workstations.
