Reading Raw Images

O'Melia, Mike J AMRDEC/Torch
Hi,

I have raw images from my Cannon D10 that I want to load.  These are not
raw in the true sense, but some kind of standard used by the digital
camera community.  Is there a pluggin?  Tried Jimi...no good.

Thanks,

Mike

Yes, I have seen this.  Perhaps it can be wrapped and made into a
pluggin?  I know very little about Java...

What operating system are you running?

I was thinking about creating a wrapper that would call DCRAW in a
background, but this will be OS specific.

I would also be interested in being able to read  DCRAW images into ImageJ. I mostly run ImageJ under Windows XP at work  (and on Mac OS 10.3 at home).

  Thanks.

Although there are tools to convert C to Java, I have been led to
believe that there are some type useages in DCDRAW that will not work in
Java.  However, it remains to be seen.  As I understand it, once
converted, one has to map the ImageJ API.  Maybe you and I could confer
on this offline (via email).  If you are interested, email me at
[hidden email].  We can take it from there and if we are
successful, we can introduce it back to the community.
