Streaks

Can anyone tell me the best way to get rid of streaks caused by minor
charging in SEM images ?

I used to do FFT, followed by editing the FFT image (deleting the areas
that correspond to the streaks) and then inverse FFT. Used to do this to
visualise calcium events in muscle fibres without showing the striation
pattern. You can also automate it if the streaks are constant and then the
FFT image looks always the same in terms of where the streak-related signal
appears. Others will probably suggest a quicker/simpler way.

Band pass filter as a line elimination feature.
