Dear ImageJ Users and Developers,
We published a tutorial for CT body composition analysis using ImageJ, older version from 2015 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26392166 ). In this older version of ImageJ, an additional pop-up window for resetting thresholds would open when 'set' button was pressed. As we try to follow the tutorial in the newer version of ImageJ, we notice that this pop-up window has been deleted and that one can now adjust the thresholds directly on the Threshold window. However, when we attempt to reset the thresholds in the same window, we encounter issues with attempting to change threshold settings, the window freezes and we can't change the settings as needed. We are wondering if this issue has been reported by other users. Also wondering, if you would be able to fix the problem/but, add the pop-up window back that allows resetting of thresholds, or provide us with details about how to overcome the threshold resetting problem, so that we could assist users of the tutorial who are installing current versions of ImageJ and encountering issues with the thresholding window. Would you be able to assist with this issue? We appreciate your assistance. Best regards, Sandra L. In my version of IJ 1.52m33, a popup window appears when I press the "Set" button in the threholder applet, and it works fine. What version of IJ have you got? Have you updated to a recent one or the daily build via the Help menu? Cheers Gabriel -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |

Dear Sandra,
I'm afraid to be responsible for proposing to replace the value labels in the "Threshold" dialog by editable text fields and getting rid of the set pop-up window within the threshold tool in the version 1.51r from the 15 October 2017. But Wayne has put this button back within the version 1.52e from 11 July 2018 due probably to some encoutered bugs or breakage with older developped plugins or macros (as you describe it). Thus if you update your ImageJ software to the last official released (i.e. 1.52k) or daily build (i.e. 1.52m46) version you will have this button back and should be able to correctly use your tool.
