All:
I am new to ImageJ and the mailing list. I plan to contribute and both learn from this resource. As a beginner I have been searching for a manual or tuturials on ImageJ to get me started. The Documentation Wikis tutorial link does not seem to work for me? Where can I find help on using ImageJ? My work is mainly in segmenting anatomy from the visible human project. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thansk, Nicholas PhD Student University of Ottawa |
Hi Nicholas,
For segmentation within ImageJ I have built TrakEM2: http://www.ini.uzh.ch/~acardona/trakem2.html In particular, you want to look at the AreaList segfmentation type (a 'label', but not pixel-based). From such labels, meshes are made with marching cubes, exportable as DXF and wavefront for further processing in other software such as Blender or Amira. Let me know if you need help getting up and running. Albert > I am new to ImageJ and the mailing list. Albert:
Greatly appreciated. I need to delve further into its capabilities to get it to work for my needs. Thanks a great deal. Hi Nicholas,
there is actually quite a lot of documentation, both about the program use "as is", the source code and how to use the macro language and even writing your own plugins: http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/docs/ Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards Joachim Wesner ____________________________________________ Leica Microsystems CMS GmbH | GmbH mit Sitz in Wetzlar | Amtsgericht Wetzlar HRB 2432 Geschäftsführer: Dr. Stefan Träger | Dr. Wolf-Otto Reuter | Dr. David Roy Martyr | Colin Davis Nicholas Ali <nali065@UOTTAWA.
