Can anyone tell me if ImageJ will be able to convert a stack of 2D images taken by rotating an object every 10 degree to a 3D viewer?

Yes. See the manual on the menu command 3D Project.

Hello,
You can find information on these names from the online documentation. See http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/docs/menus/analyze.html#set Cheers, Ben On Sep 14, 2009, at 11:43 AM, Jinming Zhu wrote: > I am using imageJ to compare two different shapes from two images. Dear Jinming,
Jinming Zhu wrote: > Can anyone tell me how to measure total length of a root picture by ImageJ? Or direct me where I can do it. what do you mean by "root picture"? Did you try thresholding, followed by "Skeletonize (2D/3D)" and "Analyze Skeleton (2D/3D)"? See this plugin: http://pacific.mpi-cbg.de/wiki/index.php/AnalyzeSkeleton Cheers, Jan |

Using Skeleton (2D) plugin in imageJ to analyze a 2D image, I got some output results. Can anyone tell me the meanings of 'Skeleton ID','Branch length','V1 x V1 y V1 z V2 x V2 y V2 z', and 'Euclidean distance'? or tell me where I can find interpretations for these definitions. I did not see any interpretations when I downloaded this plugin.

Hey Jinming,
You have the documentation in the Fiji website: http://pacific.mpi-cbg.de/wiki/index.php/AnalyzeSkeleton#Table_of_results ignacio On Wed, Sep 16, 2009 at 3:14 PM, Jinming Zhu <[hidden email]>wrote: > Using Skeleton (2D) plugin in imageJ to analyze a 2D image, I got some > output results.
