Feature-AND Function

Kate Herchenroder
Hello,

I am a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and new with ImageJ. I
am trying to reconstruct grain boundaries of a metal sample for
measurement. I wanted to use the "feature-and" tool to combine two images
with different threshold values. Does anyone know where I can find this
function?

Thank you for the help.

time to peak curve

Dr. Andreas Becker
Hello,
we have a number of 8-bit greyscaled jpeg images converted to a stack
with an initial increased followed by a decrease of grey value after
injection of contrast enhanced agent in ultrasound.
Now we want to display a time to peak curve in a priori defined ROIs. Do
you know any a plugin that could help us?
Thank you,

Andreas

After selecting your ROI you can use the z-profiler
(http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/z-profiler.html) to get a profile
through your stack. The data can be saved or copied to the clipboard to be
used in other programs .

The correct name of "feature-and" is Morphological Reconstruction (binary).
I wrote 2 plugins to do this (BinaryReconstruct_ and BinaryFilterReconstruct_)
They are available in the Morphology collection here (you have to download the
morphology.zip file)

Re: Feature-AND Function

Dianne Patterson
Dear Group,

I work with mri images
I have Guy William's excellent rotate and spm/nifti converters for ImageJ
and they are very helpful..so naturally, now I am hoping to do even more.

I am working with MRI images and I want to edit existing binary ROIs of the
hippocampus (I want to create an anterior hippocampus roi)
It would be helpful to overlay the binary hippocampus image on the brain
image while I am editing, and to do things like rotate them together and
then edit the binary image only and save it separately.

This sort of functionality does not seem to quite exist in the free and very
useful mricro or the spm extension marsbar (or, I don't understand how the
functionality is implemented in those tools). ImageJ is quite capable of
editing the roi, but it would be helpful to me to see the roi in place while
editing...

Any thoughts?
